Eagles RB Westbrook will return to game from concussion

After practicing twice this week, the Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook has been fine enough to play this Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers. Because of a concussion, the running back has missed two games.

Westbrook has been limited much of the season with knee and ankle injuries. He sustained the concussion when he took a knee to the head on Oct. 26 while the Eagles were playing against the Washington Redskins. After missing one game and practicing last week, he was originally expected to wear back his NFL jersey and play last weekend’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. However, he began to feel a headache before the game and eventually missed a second game.

Westbrook was officially listed as probable for this week’s game. And Reid is confident the running back will play this week without problem or doubt. If so, the game will be Westbrook’s sixth game played this season.
