Crabtree will replace injured Bruce to start against Bears

The San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Michael Crabtree will have his chance to start for the team this week against the Chicago Bears with Isaac Bruce being listed as inactive for an ankle injury.

Wearing the NO.15 49ers jersey, he was playing as the starting role during Thursday’s practice.

The 49ers defensive line will be without defensive backs Nate Clements and Keith Smith, running back Glen Coffee and defensive lineman Demetric Evans.

The offensive line will be without offensive linemen Cody Wallace and Joe Staley.

Their opponent will be without starting safety Al Afalava, receiver Juaquin Iglesias, running back Garrett Wolfe, safety Kevin Payne, linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa, offensive lineman Lance Louis and defensive linemen Matt Toeaina and Jarron Gilbert.
